ABOUT ME

I am a rising first-year pre-medical student at the University of California - Los Angeles pursuing a B.S. in Psychobiology. Ever since I was a child, I have always been intrigued by this question: Why do people act the way they do? What makes us all so different from one another? As I sought out the answers to these questions, I stumbled across the topic of psychology and immediately fell in love with it. I am also incredibly passionate about medicine and have always dreamt of working to make an impact on other's lives. I found that psychiatry was the perfect mix of the two.

I have actively sought out opportunities that would help expand my knowledge and experience within these fields. I have an immense amount of volunteer experience, specifically in regards to healthcare and psychology. My curiosity as a student has allowed for me to improve my understanding about the sciences and pushes me to always learn more. Knowledge is infinite.
MISSION STATEMENT
Through my independent study, I shall further my knowledge in the field of psychiatry and determine whether the environment this career presents is the best fit for me and my life goals. As I curate my research portfolio, I will create high-quality products that display my perseverance, creativity, and passion towards the field of psychiatry. Lastly, I am looking forward to learning more about the workspace and improving my professional skills that will prove to be beneficial in the near future through conducting interviews and learning from professionals themselves.
